Clan Wren Mandalorians Bring Family Loyalty Back to Star Wars: Legion

Clan Wren is the kind of unit Mandalorian players want. It has history, personality, and a clear battlefield role.

However, it also plugs neatly into the Mandalorian Clans Battle Force. Legion works best when a unit feels like story and tactics. Here, the Wrens look stubborn, mobile, and hard to pin down. This is a summary of Atomic Mass Games article that you can find here.

Clan Wren Veterans Reward Teamwork, Movement, and Close-Range Pressure

The updated Clan Wren Veterans return with a redesigned unit card, and the changes make them feel more complete. Their base unit now starts at four miniatures, which gives the squad more staying power and table presence.

They also gain the Range 3 Galaar-15 Carbines option, so they are no longer waiting for the perfect pistol-range dive. However, once they do close in, their blaster pistols still promise that nasty short-range punch Mandalorians should bring. Dauntless keeps them moving under pressure, while Jump 2 and Speed 3 give them angles needed to threaten objectives or exposed flanks.

Their new Clan Wren keyword, We Fight for Our Family, is the real identity piece. After attacking, they can hand a Dodge token to another nearby allied unit with the same keyword. That is a small rule with big table implications, because it rewards keeping the clan close without forcing a boring castle.

Meanwhile, their Clan Wren Affiliation lets them fight alone, slot into the Mandalorian Clans Battle Force, or work as Rebel Alliance Mercenaries. The upgrade cards add even more texture.

The Beskad Duelist can exhaust to give the unit Charge, which pairs beautifully with Jump 2 and Speed 3.

Tristan Wren adds flexibility outside Clan Wren, since his shifting loyalties help his unit receive orders despite normal Mercenary restrictions. Ursa Wren, as an upgrade, boosts Courage and adds Defend 1, which is excellent with Nimble because it helps the squad start each round with a Dodge token already in hand.

Better still, Ursa also appears as a new Commander for Mandalorian Clans and Rebel Alliance armies. Her Bolster 2 hands out Surge tokens to nearby Mandalorian Corps units, improving offense and defense. Her Entourage with Clan Wren Veterans and her family-focused keyword encourage her to stay near her clan.

Finally, her command card, No One Threatens Our Family, gives Clan Wren Commanders and Operatives Guardian 1, then turns that protection into Aim-fueled counterpunches.

Summary: A Thematic Clan Pack With Real Tabletop Bite

Overall, Clan Wren looks like a strong identity piece for Mandalorian players. The veterans bring mobility, ranged flexibility, and Dodge-sharing support. Meanwhile, Ursa and Tristan add leadership, order tricks, and family-first synergy.
