Mandalorian Leaders Give Star Wars: Legion Clans Their Big Personalities

Mandalorian armies already had plenty of cool armor. However, this preview gives them something more important.

It gives the clans recognizable leaders with battlefield jobs. Instead of feeling like generic jetpack elites, the Battle Force looks personal. That is what Mandalorians need. This is a summary of the Atmoic Mass Games transmission that you can find here.

Bo-Katan, the Armorer, Axe Woves, and Paz Vizsla Bring Clan Identity to Legion

Bo-Katan Kryze Mandalorian trooper profile in a game UI. Left panel lists abilities: Mercenary, Jump 2, Death From Above, Impervious, Mandalorians Are Stronger Together, Tactical 1; bottom shows Dual Blaster Pistols and High Velocity. Right side features Bo-Katan in blue armor holding a glowing shield, with status indicators showing 5 and 3 and various action icons.

The Mandalorian Leaders expansion adds four major personalities to Star Wars: Legion, and each one pushes a different part of the Mandalorian Clans Battle Force. Bo-Katan, Savior of Mandalore arrives as a Commander, while staying playable with Rebel Alliance and Galactic Republic collections. That flexibility matters, because she has crossed many eras and allegiances.

On the table, Death From Above rewards using Jump and speed to set up lethal attacks from awkward angles. Her dual blaster pistols also bring High Velocity, so Jedi and opposing Mandalorians cannot simply spend Dodge tokens. Additionally, her command cards make her feel like a battlefield leader. A Higher Purpose gives her Barrage and Relentless, letting her move and pour out pistol fire.

Meanwhile, Mandalore Will Survive gives Clan Kryze allies a free move after attacking, making jetpack troops even slipperier.

In-game character card for a Mandalorian Trooper; left side lists abilities (Mercenary, Jump 2, Charge, Coordinate: Unit, Impervious, Mandalorians Are Stronger Together, Tactical 1) and a Vibroknife & Pistol with counters, while the right shows a seated armored figure holding a helmet with stat chips (5 and 2) at the bottom.

Axe Woves supports that Clan Kryze theme with Tactical 1, Mandalorians Are Stronger Together, and Coordinate: Clan Kryze. However, he is not just standing around giving orders. With Charge and a vibroknife-pistol combo, he can close fast and bully exposed targets.

UI card for The Armorer: Mandalorian Trooper with actions Jump 2, Aid, Charge, Impervious, Reliable 1, Move 1 or Recover 2; Hammer and Tongs ability; resource counts 6 and 3; armored figure on the right.
Character card: The Armorer, a Mandalorian trooper in gold helmet and brown armor, standing with weapons in a forge-like workshop.

The Armorer shifts the spotlight to the Children of the Watch. She brings Aid, Reliable support, and This Is the Way, letting nearby Children of the Watch units perform listed actions when she receives an order. That feels excellent, because she should make the covert steadier.

Card art titled 'The Armorer & 1 Unit': armored fighter in a gold helmet lunges with a large hammer at a foe in a dark hall.

Her We Shape Ourselves card can be divulged to grant Cache, then played to Recover units, clear suppression, and reload armaments.

Character card for Paz Vizsla, a Mandalorian trooper, displaying abilities (Jump 2, Field Commander, Impervious, Steady, This is the Way: Aim 2) and weapon stats (Vibroknife, Repeating Blaster) with a helmeted figure on the right side.
Mandalorian trooper in blue armor advances through smoke, firing a rifle with red laser bolts.

Finally, Paz Vizsla is the big armored bruiser. His repeating blaster, Steady, Overwhelm, and This Is the Way: Aim 2 make him a disciplined walking firebase. His Go, There Are Too Many… card sounds dramatic, granting permanent benefits at a cost.

Star Wars card scene: Paz Viszla in red armor fires a blaster at stormtroopers; top banner reads 'Go, There Are Too Many...' with ability text beneath.

Better still, all four models include upgrade cards for Mandalorian Troopers. As a result, players can field them as leaders or fold their flavor into squads.

Card for Bo-Katan Kryze unit (Leader) featuring a silhouette within a circle and activation text about removing suppression tokens and gaining Charge until activation ends.

In-game card for The Armorer: silhouette of a figure inside a circle; text reads: Add 1 The Armorer miniature, Leader, This unit increases its value by 1 and gains Reliable 2, Hammer and Tongs, Pierce 1.

Summary: A Strong Character Pack for a More Flexible Mandalorian Force

Overall, this release turns Mandalorian Clans from a cool concept into a proper army identity. Bo-Katan brings command presence, Axe adds aggressive support, the Armorer strengthens the covert, and Paz anchors the gunline. Moreover, the upgrade-card option makes the box useful even when those characters are not fielded alone.
