When facing monsters or vehicles, the rending claw steps in with four Strength 8, Damage 3 attacks that can crack open serious targets.
Crucially, every option carries AP-2, ensuring consistent bite. On top of that, the Alpha Warrior ability grants Sustained Hits, which further spikes damage output. Consequently, no matter the matchup, the Prime always brings the right tool.
Synapse Pressure and Battlefield Control
As a Synapse creature, the Tyranid Prime does more than kill. Nearby Tyranids gain improved resistance to Battle-shock, while recent balance updates also grant them +1 Strength in melee. Naturally, this bonus feeds straight back into the Prime’s own attacks. At the same time, enemy units nearby suffer a penalty to their own Battle-shock tests. Therefore, pushing the Prime forward applies both physical and psychological pressure.
