Another year, another pile of plastic legends. So, Warhammer Community asked fans to vote for their favourite minis of 2025.
Additionally, people showed up in force and voted by the thousands. The winners were split across three buckets. Those were Warhammer 40,000 including Kill Team, Warhammer Age of Sigmar including Underworlds, and the Best of the Rest.
Warhammer 40,000: Logan Grimnar Takes First Place

It was a stacked year for 40k characters. However, an old icon walked away with the crown. Logan Grimnar won, and he is stomping into battle in Tactical Dreadnought Armour. Additionally, he is swinging the Axe Morkai. Also, his thunderwolves Tyrnak and Fenrir are right there with him. So, it is basically a full Space Wolves saga in one display piece.
Fulgrim, Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh, came in second. Additionally, the article jokes he probably hates losing by a narrow margin. It notes there were just over 200 votes between Fulgrim and Logan. Meanwhile, Raven Guard Chapter Master Aethon Shaan took third place. Then, Lhykhis, Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders, landed in fourth. Finally, Lord Marshal Dreir rode into fifth place.
The rest of the top 10 is described as equally impressive. Additionally, it calls out that one of them was a Warhammer+ miniature. It also mentions an imposing Death Guard champion and three named characters. The placements are listed clearly. Sixth was Infinity’s Lament. Seventh was Lord of Poxes. Eighth was Lucius the Eternal. Ninth was Suboden Khan. Tenth was Lady Malys.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Death Dominates, and Vhordrai Crushes the Vote
The Mortal Realms are framed as being in the “Hour of Ruin” after the Vermindoom. Additionally, the article jokes that this “hour” has lasted forever. In that chaos, lots of major players showed up, including the Helsmiths of Hashut. However, Death stole the show in the voting.
Prince Vhordrai, Lord of the Crimson Keep, took first place in Age of Sigmar. Additionally, the article says he got more votes than any other miniature this year. That is a huge statement, even before the twist. The kit split votes, because the Revenant Draconith can be voted for separately. Even so, the Revenant Draconith alone was strong enough to take third place. So, the dragon literally placed on the podium while the rider also won.
Urkhan, the Dark Warden, came in second. Additionally, the writeup calls him restrained and magisterial. It also shrugs that everyone loves an imposing Chaos Warrior. The Helsmiths of Hashut show up again with the Dominator Engine in fourth. Then, the Wight King on Skeletal Steed takes fifth.
Death keeps dominating as the list expands. Additionally, the Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed makes the top 10. The Summons also makes the list, which reinforces that spooky centerpiece energy. The Infernal Taurus effectively double dips too. People split the vote between Urak Taar and the Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus. Additionally, the footnote says if those votes were combined, it would be third place. The remaining placements are given. Sixth is Urak Taar, the First Daemonsmith. Seventh is Droggz Da Sunchompa. Eighth is Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed. Ninth is The Summons. Tenth is Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus.
Best of the Rest: Grand Cathay and Horus Heresy Heavy Metal
The final category is the catch all bracket. It includes The Old World, The Horus Heresy, Warhammer Quest, Legions Imperialis, Necromunda, and Blood Bowl. So, it is basically everything that is not core 40k or AoS. The article says big miniatures landed here this year, and it immediately proves it.
Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon, wins the category. Additionally, it is called the crowning glory of the Grand Cathay range. It also gets the ultimate value pitch, because it is two minis in one kit. So, it is a centerpiece that literally doubles as a vote magnet.
Second place goes to the Saturnine Praetor. Warhammer Quest: Darkwater takes third when counted as a whole set of minis. Additionally, the article calls the range overwhelming, which tracks for a boxed game drop. The Chiron configuration of the Saturnine Siege Dreadnought takes fourth. Then, the Grand Cathay Sky Lantern floats into fifth.
The rest of the top 10 mixes more Cathay beauty with Heresy era machinery. Sixth is the Shugengan Lord on Great Spirit Longma. Seventh is the Saturnine Siege Dreadnought in the Ophion configuration. Eighth is the Thanatar Calix Siege-automata. Ninth is the Cathayan Sentinel. Tenth is a Caster of Runes Consul, which mirrors the Space Wolves win in the 40k list.
Summary
Across all three categories, the votes show a clear trend. So, big named characters and dramatic centerpieces still rule the hobby conversation. Additionally, Death absolutely dunked on Age of Sigmar voting through sheer intimidation. Meanwhile, Grand Cathay and Saturnine era Heresy kits carried the “Best of the Rest” bracket hard.
The article closes by thanking everyone who voted. Additionally, it promises plenty more in 2026. So, if you like reveals and previews, Warhammer Community is telling you to stay locked in. The footnotes also make one last point. If certain split vote kits were combined, the top 10 would shift and make room for other fan favourites.
