Battlefront is reviving old favorites with a new Made to Order program, kicking off as a trial with Adventure Games & Hobby.
It’s a smart way to bring long-requested kits back without reopening the entire catalog at once, and we have seen GW make it a part of their regular rotation. The plan is to roll it out to more Specialist Range Partners after the kinks are worked out. This matters because many Flames of War minis become highly sought after when they drop out of print, often spiking in price on the secondary market and stalling armies mid-project.
The first wave targets the Afrika Korps with four classics returning to the lineup: DAK HQ, DAK Panzergrenadier Platoon, DAK MG Platoon, and DAK Mortar Platoon. These have been off shelves for three to five years, so desert collectors finally get to fill those gaps with the real thing rather than hunting mismatched substitutes. It’s a clean fix for both new builders and veterans who want historically tight forces without paying rarity tax.
Pre-orders run for three weeks starting October 1, 2025, after which Battlefront will manufacture exactly what was ordered and ship everything to Adventure Games & Hobby. Expect roughly six months from order to delivery, so plan paint queues and campaign starts accordingly. If this pilot lands well, more out-of-print gems could march back into formation, which is great news for anyone tired of chasing unicorn boxes to finish a Flames of War collection.
