There are few places quite as special to a hobbyist as a Warhammer store.
Each one is a hub of creativity and camaraderie, staffed by folks who can effortlessly tell their Vindicators from their Vindictors, and are always ready to offer expert hobby tips, gameplay advice, and help chart your next steps—whether you’re building your first squad or planning your fifth army. And let’s not forget the collectible coins and store exclusives waiting to be claimed.
To celebrate the continued growth of the Warhammer store network—now over 200 in North America and more than 300 across the UK and Europe—Games Workshop is bringing back a familiar face: Captain Centos.
This iconic Space Marine returns with a fresh new sculpt, complete with a gloriously retro back banner—an undeniably top-tier piece of Warhammer aesthetic. He can be built either helmeted or bare-headed, depending on your preference for battlefield flair or battlefield safety. His pose still echoes that classic ‘heroic commander’ silhouette, preserving the proud tradition of the original 1991 Space Marine Captain model that inspired him.
Captain Centos first appeared in 2016 to mark the opening of the 100th Warhammer store in North America. Now, nearly a decade later, he’s back to commemorate a new milestone with upgraded detail and a nostalgic nod to his previous iteration. Even the classic red-era cloak and bolter paint scheme returns, faithfully recreated by the ’Eavy Metal team. Fancy replicating it? Try starting with Warboss Green as your basecoat and let your brush channel the past.
The new Captain Centos will be available exclusively through retail stores during an upcoming worldwide Warhammer celebration, along with other themed gear and goodies. He’s only around while stocks last, so when the time comes, be ready to make your charge roll into your nearest Warhammer store.
Stay tuned to Warhammer Community for details on exactly when you’ll be able to bring this legendary captain home.
