Brace yourselves, little man-things – the Sons of Behemat are stomping into the Scourge of Ghyran season,
and they’re not here to negotiate. When these walking natural disasters show up, there’s only one real question: how much of the battlefield will still be standing when they leave?
New Formations: Mobs and Toes
First up, we’ve got two delightfully destructive new formations. The Manskittle Mob lives up to its name, turning the battlefield into a game board where everything smaller than a Mega-Gargant is a plaything. This formation puts an unexpected emphasis on the shooting phase – yes, shooting – giving your gargants an edge when lobbing anything from rocks to ruined temples.
Then there’s The Big Toes. This one’s all about the regular-sized Gargants (if anything that’s 15 feet tall can be considered “regular”). One of the bunch gets a bit full of himself, thinking he’s the biggest deal around – and in his presence, the other Mancrushers fight harder… unless there’s a real Mega-Gargant nearby to remind him who’s boss. Classic sibling rivalry, but for godsized monsters.
Heroic Traits with That Gargant Energy
The Sons of Behemat get three thematic new heroic traits in Scourge of Ghyran, all of which reflect their very particular brand of violence:
- Objective Klepto: One Mega-Gargant becomes an expert at claiming objectives that clearly don’t belong to him. Because everything belongs to him, really.
- Mega-Grump: Wounded? Tired? Missing a few limbs? Doesn’t matter. This guy simply refuses to fall over. Ever.
- Terrifying Hulk: So scary, no one in their right mind wants to charge them. Honestly, can you blame them?
Kraken-Eater Goes Coastal
Rounding out the updates is a new Scourge of Ghyran warscroll for the Kraken-eater Mega-Gargant. After stomping through Ghyran in search of tasty treats (and maybe a ship or three), he’s learned some tricks. He hits harder now, and in classic horror-movie fashion, he can even lie in wait beneath the waves (or swamp), ready to rise at the perfect moment and ruin someone’s day.
General’s Handbook Update: Realm of Life Gets Wild
This season brings 12 new battleplans steeped in the themes of Ghyran. Some require you to capture terrain pieces, while others make objectives shift in importance mid-battle. One standout is Noxious Nexus, which flips the script: both players deploy at one end of the board and battle across it, with the best rewards waiting at the far side. Expect new strategies, new chaos, and a lot of terrain-related drama.
The Sons of Behemat may be big, loud, and prone to stepping on buildings, but they’re not the only faction making waves. Tomorrow’s update swaps towering titans for swift-footed killers. Bring your agility – and maybe a few extra save rolls.
