The magma is boiling, the axes are glowing, and the Magmadroths are howling—because today, the Fyreslayers unleash their fury upon the Scourge of Ghyran.
Battlesmith Adam of Vostarg Lodge brings word from the forge-fires, and it’s hot enough to melt sigmarite.
Vulkyn Gifts – The New Prayer Lore
The flamepriests of the lodges have unlocked the Vulkyn Gifts, a set of blazing prayers designed to turn up the heat. Volcanic Fracturing makes wounded Magmadroths even more dangerous, spewing searing blood with punishing intensity. Fury of Vulcatrix channels the berserker wrath of Grimnir’s progeny, granting infantry (and especially Magmadroths) bonus attacks. Meanwhile, Blazing Impetus throws caution to the wind, letting a chosen unit make a heroic move in the Hero Phase—ideal for crashing into the fray or grabbing a crucial objective.
Marks of Vulcatrix – Upgrades for the Beast
Magmadroths now come with a trio of upgrades that’ll make even a Maw-krusha blink. Incandescent Blaze turns a Magmadroth’s fyrestream into a battlefield-clearing torrent of flame, perfect for roasting tightly packed foes. Thickened Scales boosts their survivability, shrugging off blows that would fell lesser monsters. And Peerless Lineage lets them spread the devastation even further—selecting a second unit to receive the pain during a Rampage. Grimnir’s chosen don’t believe in subtlety.
Auric Runeson on Magmadroth – Updated Warscroll
Leading this inferno is the Auric Runeson on Magmadroth, whose new rules make him the fiery hammer to his father’s unyielding anvil. When the Runefather is in danger, the Runeson can erupt into a Volcanic Rage, dealing extra damage to avenge his kin—shouting “FATHER!” as dramatically as possible is strongly encouraged. His new Calamitous Crash Rampage ability allows him to bulldoze through multiple enemy units at once, and if paired with Peerless Lineage, the destruction doubles.
