- Hekatos Drillmasters let you upgrade one of your infantry units, making them faster, deadlier, or more durable. Perfect for relentless bone phalanxes on the march.
- Tithe Guards turn the detritus of war into reinforcement material—every shattered femur and splintered rib goes right back into your legion.
New Spell Lore: Necrotheurgy
The Mortisans have delved even deeper into forbidden ossiarch arts. The Lore of Necrotheurgy includes three easy-to-cast (5+) spells that keep your forces fighting well past their natural expiration date:
- Bolster Creation lets your constructs shrug off incoming damage.
- Invigorate the Ranks buffs your units with extra attacks.
- Soul-Claim deals mortal wounds to enemies and immediately recycles their remains into new troops.
This spell lore synergizes beautifully with the new warscrolls and battle formations.
Warscroll Updates
- Mortisan Boneshaper: This venerated bone-sculptor now buffs Rally attempts and can summon fresh reinforcements straight from your casualties.
- Mortek Guard: The stalwart backbone of your army gets an upgrade with Shields of the Legion, allowing them to absorb hits aimed at key units like Mortek Crawlers, Gothizzar Harvesters, or Mortisans.
