Helm Hammerhand’s Arch Rival Appears!

A new reveal for the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game introduces Freca™, Lord of the West-march, a key antagonist to Helm Hammerhand. Freca, a powerful and ambitious man of Dunlendish descent, is infamous across Rohan for his pride and schemes to place his son Wulf on the throne of Rohan. His clash with Helm is inevitable given his goals.

Key Abilities:

  • Dunlending Heritage: This rule allows Freca to inspire nearby Dunland Warriors, making them fight harder in battle.
  • Claim the Throne: Freca grows stronger if he’s involved in combat when the enemy General is slain, reflecting his ambition to claim Rohan’s throne.

This reveal comes just ahead of the release of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim™ – Battle of Edoras starter set, first teased on Hobbit Day. Expect more reveals in the lead-up to the launch as Warhammer Community continues to share updates.

Freca’s inclusion brings a rich narrative of tension and ambition to the game, adding another layer of strategy for Middle-earth™ enthusiasts.
