New Orc Infantry for Oathmark from North Star

North Star Military Figures has shown of some painted examples of their newest plastic kit for Oathmark. Let’s check them out!

Oathmark is a fantasy Rank & Flank game that came out several years ago and has been supported by some great multipose, plastic kits for generic fantasy races: Elves, Dwarves, Orcs & Goblins and Humans. North Star has just released images of their most recent addition to the game, Orc Heavy Infantry, and they look great!

The kit will come with everything needed to make a unit of 15 orc heavy infantry wielding two handed weapons or hand weapons and shields, as well as full command. Knowing North Star there will be a decent variety of head options. My favorites from the pics are the closed face helmet and the Angus McBride inspired helmet. For all their previous releases, North Star have released a set of metal character minis to go alongside the plastics. They have not shown off what those might look like for this set, but check out the metals they made for the standard orc infantry below.

Oathmark doesn’t have traditional fantasy factions. Though the races in the game are very traditional, players build a kingdom before they build an army list, and this kingdom can house any mix of fantasy races. You might have Elves, Dwarves and Orcs all fighting in the same army. That said, the kits are all focused on individual fantasy races, and one could just as easily make an Old World army out of them. For Orcs & Goblin North Star has already produced Orc Infantry, Goblin Infantry, Goblin Wolf Riders and Goblin Slaves.

There is no release date yet for these, but you can bet I will be posting it here when it is announced. What do you think of these minis? Do they tempt you to start an O&G army? Sound off in the comments!
