Warlord Games Announces Operation Critical Hit: A Global WW2 Campaign

Warlord Games, makers of Bolt Action, Blood Red Skies and Victory at Sea have announced a five week, global campaign involving all three games. Let’s check it out!

For those not familiar, Warlord Games has three World War 2 game systems, focused on different aspects of the war. Blood Red Skies is a mass aerial combat game at 1/200th scale, and Victory at Sea is a naval warfare game at 1/300th scale. Bolt Action depicts ground combat with 28mm figures at roughly the platoon level, and is easily the most prolific of the three systems. Warlord Games also has a unified campaign game called Combined Arms that allows players with forces for all three games to play head to head campaigns using the different game systems.

But Warlord has stepped up their game recently with the announcement of Operation Critical Hit, a global, online campaign. Players can participate through their local game stores, if they are participating, or they can simply participate online. The campaign will have four theaters of conflict: North-West Europe, the Pacific, the Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe, each with their own hex-based map. Game outcomes from the three systems will influence the axis or allied control of map hexes over the course of the five week campaign.

But that’s not all! Warlord Games is also offering an exclusive figure with just about any starter set for any of these systems, including Combined Arms. The campaign kicks off in August and sounds like all the fun of the End Times without any of the doubt about the fate of a game you know and love!
