Getting Ready for the Broadside Bash

We’re all getting ready for the Broadside Bash, which is a fun event in Southern California.

It’s been held in LA in recent years but this year it made the jump to Kingdom Con in San Diego.

The event is good fun and we go every year. This year there will be 52 for 40K, and quite a few of the gang are going.

Raw Dogger is bringing his new Dark Angel/Imperial Guard combo.

I am bringing the good old Bugs.

Frankie is bringing Chaos.

Keni is bringing Grey Knights.

Young Blood is bringing Space Wolves.

Grant is bringing Eldar/Dark Eldar.

It should be a lot of fun, and any excuse to get down to San Diego (my old home town) is reason enough for me! This event is very soft score heavy, so if you aren’t a good painter it will be really, really hard for you to win. But you do some some beautiful tables and some great looking armies.

This will be good practice for Adepticon to work the final kinks out of our lists, and a fun event on it’s own.

No matter what though, it is good fun to get out and chuck some dice with friends! We’ll keep everyone updated with results and pics!

      1. That was just one time, back in college. The nid looked like a Tau and I was pretty drunk. I prefer not to talk about it……

Would actually be Swarmy on Swarmy action too. Lets save it for the final top table 🙂

  1. So you guys didn’t make it. I had to play Doug for all the marbles in the final round instead. Sadly, I got pounded by his Krieg guns. Hammer and Anvil, no night fight, he went first, kill points all spelled an uphill battle and I just couldn’t bring the love for the ‘nids. S’okay though, don’t mind losing to good people.

Swarmy was incredible in all the other games though. He took out Belial and a unit of his termies in one game and Alex’s D-Lord Wraith unit single handedly in another. Swarmy on Swarmy will have to wait for Golden Throne.

    1. I heard that you made it to the finals! Bugs represented well.

That is a tough match, but you represented well. No shame in it. And yeah, wish we could have gone but the Tau release pulled us away from everything. Next time! Swarmy is indeed, a boss of bosses, though. Such a beast!
