The full color MDF set is the more visual option, because it gives you printed bases that frame terrain pieces clearly during play. It includes 16 bases across five footprint sizes, including rectangles and triangle shapes, and it is currently listed at $50, down from $55. So, this looks aimed at players who want fast, obvious table definition without extra hobby work.
Clear Acrylic Bases Keep the Board Looking Open
The acrylic set uses the same 16-base footprint spread, but swaps printed MDF for clear acrylic. Because of that, it should blend into mats better and keep scenic boards looking less crowded.
