Summer 2026 is stacking up fast for Warhammer events. So if you have been waiting for a big three day hobby weekend, this is it.
Even better, the Warhammer Open Series is finally landing in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, fan favorite stops in Tacoma, Dallas, and Edmonton are also back. As a result, there are more chances than ever to throw dice, show off armies, and meet the community.
What’s new across the Open Series this year
First, every Open includes Grand Tournaments built for both casual and top tier players. Additionally, the weekend vibe is more than just matched play grinding. You will usually see narrative events, hobby challenges, and painting workshops too. Plus, the travelling Warhammer store tends to show up, which is dangerous for your wallet.
Even more importantly, the Grand Tournaments for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Warhammer Underworlds will award Golden Tickets. Therefore, a strong run can punch your ticket to the World Championships of Warhammer in Barcelona.
Tickets for all of these events go on sale Friday 27 February at 6PM UK time, which is 1PM Eastern. Also, while the Grand Narrative returns to Atlanta in November, more Opens might be announced later.
Dates, cities, and what you can play
First up, Maastricht, Netherlands runs 23 to 26 April 2026 at MECC. Additionally, it is the first ever Warhammer Open in Europe, with 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Underworlds.
Next, Dallas, Texas runs 22 to 24 May 2026 at Esports Stadium Arlington. Also, it supports 40k, Age of Sigmar, and Kill Team. However, Dallas is a hard cap event, so when tickets sell out, they stay sold out.
Then, the UK debut hits Birmingham, England on 29 to 31 May 2026 at the NEC during UK Games Expo. So you get three days of Warhammer, and you also get the wider convention access. Additionally, it supports 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Underworlds.
After that, Edmonton, Canada lands 19 to 21 June 2026 at Edmonton EXPO Centre during Game Con Canada. Moreover, they are aiming even bigger than last year’s record 40k turnout. Also, you get convention access and earlier hall entry, plus Age of Sigmar and Kill Team.
Then, Tacoma, Washington returns 17 to 19 July 2026 at Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Consequently, it is billed as the biggest Open of 2026, with 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Underworlds.
Finally, Newport, Wales closes the summer stretch 13 to 15 August 2026 at ICC Wales near Cardiff. Additionally, it offers the full slate of 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Underworlds.
