The Maelstrom is calling, and it never whispers. Meanwhile, Huron Blackheart is raiding the Imperium again. However, Prince Yriel’s Eldritch Raiders are hunting in the same storm. So, expect void brawls and ambushes.
What’s in the slipcase
Like 500 Worlds: Titus, this expansion arrives as several books in a slipcase. Lair of the Tyrant covers Huron’s latest raid and the Corsair resistance. Crucible of Champions adds narrative rules for creating custom characters.
A Detachments booklet adds new Detachments for Chaos Space Marines, Aeldari, Orks, and Votann. Raid and Ruin adds a campaign system that pushes your armies into repeat raids.
Additionally, there is a Collector’s Edition with alternate covers and a slipcase. It also adds red foil details, red gilt edges, and red ribbon markers. However, it is while-stocks-last, so it will go quickly.
New kits and battleforces
Huron gets a new miniature and a command squad. That squad is Garreon the Corpsemaster, Katar Garrix, Garlon Souleater, Captain Sargotta, and an Enforcer with Plunder. On the table, Huron can be one unit, and the squad can be another. Therefore, the squad becomes a specialist unit that only Huron can join.
Battleforce: Lords of the Maelstrom supports the Red Corsairs push. You get 10 new Raiders, a new Reave-Captain, plus Legionaries, Terminators, Traitor Guardsmen, and upgrades.
Meanwhile, Battleforce: Eldritch Raiders brings a new Prince Yriel, plus Kharseth, Skyreavers, and Voidreavers. It also includes a Starfang/Vyper. Both battleforces are limited, although the new kits release separately later.
Extra boxes, books, and what to watch
Drukhari get a Maelstrom Battalion with a Succubus, two Venoms, three Reavers, five Hellions, and 10 Wyches.
Votann get a Battalion with a Memnyr Strategist, three Hernkyn Pioneers, and six Ironkin Steeljacks
