Questing Nights Faces Gelgus Pust: Darkwater’s Act III Finale and a Warhammer+ Mega Giveaway

Warhammer Quest: Darkwater has been a proper grime-soaked dungeon crawl this season.

Meanwhile, Questing Nights has kept four heroes alive through Nurgle’s worst tunnels. So now the crew is staring down Act III’s final boss, Gelgus Pust. And, because Warhammer never does “small,” there is also a competition worth clocking.

A Party Built on Rewards, Panic, and Good Decisions

Simon’s hero, Bren Tylis, nearly got deleted by Act II boss Belga the Cystwitch. Therefore, he grabbed the Trogghide Leathers, which boosts every heal by one.

Additionally, that makes Aid bring her back standing with 3 Health if she drops. However, Bren is not just a bandage magnet, because Yondara’s Guidance lets her reroll moves, attacks, or saves once per round. So she can sprint ahead, tank, or go blender mode as needed. Also, the Rotbane Sword makes her attacks feel brutally dependable, even with its dice drawback.

MVP Moments: Drolf, Inara, and Edmark Doing Edmark Things

Beth’s Drolf Ironhead has been the campaign’s MVP. In particular, Ranger’s Kit mobility is huge, and the Equipment Upgrade making extra blocked hex movement is massive. Meanwhile, Lone Wolf feeds him energy when he is operating solo, which fits the character perfectly.

Josh upgraded Inara Sion too. Consequently, his Blade of Flowing Waters can now fire off at any time, not only his turn. Still, the party has been babysitting Inara’s fragile 5+ Defence. However, Josh mostly takes damage to fuel Furious, turning pain into a free attack.

John’s Edmark Valoran should be an iron wall, and yet he keeps whiffing 3+ blocks. Ironically, when he does block, Flaring Temper chips attackers back on 5+.

Additionally, the Thornblade Greatsword trades reliability for disgusting spike damage with auto crits. So with the Talisman of Quickening, Edmark’s threat range can get truly silly.

Warhammer+ This Week and the Relics Prize Pile

So the team heads into Act III hunting those vaunted rewards before Gelgus Pust. Meanwhile, Warhammer TV also drops a Painting Desk chat with Maxime, including Inquisitor Eisenhorn models. Additionally, Deep Strike revisits Hammer and Bolter: A New Life and that twist ending.

Finally, Warhammer Relics returns on February 26, and there is a subscriber giveaway tied to it. The top prize pile includes a Secretlab Titan Evo chair, Weta mini helm, JOYTOY wearable helmets and figures, display case, stacks of core rulebooks and starter sets, plushies, a Displate triptych, Ghal Maraz prop, DK books, pins, big-format art, and accessory bundles. To enter, you must be subscribed by February 28, and existing subscribers are already in.

Summary:

This episode is the payoff, because the party’s upgrades are finally online for the daemon prince fight. And, if you needed an excuse to log into Warhammer+, the Relics giveaway is absurdly loaded, as the article makes clear.
