Angron Transfigured Leads the GW 1/17 Preorder Wave!

This week’s pre-orders are absolutely stacked.

First, Horus Heresy players get a proper headline monster. Meanwhile, Mechanicum fans finally see Skitarii step forward in a big way. Also, Middle earth gets some nasty narrative toys. Finally, Old World collectors get a classic Made to Order hit.

Forge World Only: Angron at Full Daemon Volume

Angron Transfigured is finally up for pre order next week, after a long tease. Importantly, this version is Angron during the Siege of Terra, fully corrupted. It is a true centrepiece, and it comes with a scenic display base too. Rules live in Liber Hereticus, so it slots right into standard Heresy play. However, it is a single pose resin kit, so it is aimed at experienced hobbyists.

Then there is Lotara Sarrin, Mistress of the Conqueror, and she rules. She is one of the few baseline humans who could stare down World Eaters. On the table, she is support focused, since she can call orbital strikes from the Conqueror. Still, she is also a detailed resin miniature that screams character.

Skitarii March Out With a New Box and a Relic Hunt Book

The Skitarii Battle Group is the big Mechanicum drop, and it is all about relic recovery. In the Heresy era, they served the Fabricator General, and then the Schism of Mars split them too. So, you can field them for Loyalists or Traitors, which is great for narrative lists.

The box brings 18 new miniatures, and it can be its own force or an ally package. You get 16 multi part plastic Battle Pilgryms with voltlock arquebuses. They can run as two units of eight, or one big block. You also get a plastic Vultarax Stratos automata for airborne support. Plus, the Marshal leader has three heads and multiple weapon options. There is also a transfer sheet with 394 transfers, which is a hobby goldmine.

Journal Tactica: Skitarii: The Steel Hand of Mars is a 48 page softback that adds full rules. It also explains their organisation and operations in the Heresy. Meanwhile, it brings Relic Hunt missions for smash and grab gameplay. It even includes a Legendary Mission versus Imperial Fists at the Vaults of Tharsis. Also, it is physical only, after a correction.

Middle Earth, Old World Made to Order, and Warhammer Plus Extras

Middle earth gets The Path of Cirith Ungol: Shelob and Gollum as three plastic minis. Shelob can paralyse and web victims, while Gollum plays sneaky menace as usual. You also get a webbed Frodo objective for a Samwise scenario. Then the Treachery of Gollum journal adds nine narrative scenarios, a linked campaign, rules, and hobby guides.

For collectors, Warriors of Chaos Made to Order returns with classics. You get a Chaos Chariot, a Chaos Lord on Steed, three classic Sorcerers, a Sorcerer with a Familiar, and five metal Warhounds. They run until 8am GMT on Monday 26th January, and dispatch can take up to 180 days.

Likewise, The Hunter Strikes and The Steel Rook go Made to Order online until the same cutoff.

Meanwhile on Warhammer Plus, there is competitive mission talk, Indomitus lore, and a Scrap Demon bits box build. Finally, Warhammer Community teases a big preview event week with reveals across multiple systems.
