Guess Who’s Back!

Oh snap, just got my shiny new year, new army delivery from Frontline Gaming!

After my poor Eldar got nerfed into oblivion, I decided to just switch gears for the new year and go back to my second ever army in 40k, and probably my favorite if I am being honest: Imperial Guard, or Astra Militarum, or whatever the heck they call it these days. I don’t know why but I just always loved the idea of regular dudes going into the jaws of battle against aliens, monsters, daemons, and super soldiers with nothing more than faith in the Emperor and a big pair of brass cajones!

I decided that going forward, instead of the crazy complex paint schemes I did in the past where adding to the army was such a pain in the rear end I would almost never do it, to instead speed paint everything and then if I felt inspired, over time, I could add detail to spice them up. But as a new dad, and busy as ever with work, hobby time is a bit scarce so I want to make it easy on myself. I also finally got to use the special edition Catachan models I have been sitting on for years, lol, and I am really excited to get those on the table. More updates to come!

I included a mat and the awesome Frontline Outpost tournament terrain set to make it easy to get some tournament practice games in and a fully painted Commissar from the Second Hand Shop! I always loved guard, excited to start again. See you all at the Las Vegas Team Tournament!
