Every Chaos player has had the same thought at some point: where is Abaddon already? We have walls of awesome JOYTOY Marines and traitors, yet the Warmaster himself has been oddly absent.
Now that gap on the shelf is done for, because Abaddon the Despoiler is finally here in action figure form. This release feels like a proper event, not just another character. It also gives Chaos collections a true centrepiece model to rally around.
The Warmaster In Plastic And Fury
The figure is a faithful recreation of the current Warhammer 40,000 Abaddon miniature, right down to his hulking Terminator plate and towering trophy rack. He stands about 16cm tall before trophies, so he will absolutely dwarf rank-and-file JOYTOY Marines. That extra height really sells his status as Warmaster of the Black Legion. The sculpt leans into presence and menace rather than just size, which feels very on brand.
Talon, Drach’nyen, And Display Options
You get both signature relics: the Talon of Horus and Drach’nyen, each loaded with sharp detail. The daemon blade keeps its leering hilt and trailing bolt casings, so it looks brutal from every angle. There are alternate hands for different poses, plus a ragged fur cloak you can drape over his shoulders if you want maximum warlord energy. It all adds up to a model that can anchor a display rather than just blend into it.
Closing Thoughts – A True Chaos Centrepiece
Abaddon is already up for pre-order through the Warhammer Merch store, so Chaos fans can finally crown their JOYTOY warband properly. If your shelves are full of Black Legion and renegade warbands, this guy is the missing lynchpin. Just do not be surprised if everything else on that shelf suddenly feels like expendable cultists in comparison.
