Flames Of War & Team Yankee Websites: What’s Actually Going On?

If you have tried to grab an assembly guide or an old article lately, things have probably felt a bit… crunchy.

Battlefront had a neat plan for moving everything to new sites, but real life got in the way. Therefore they are now adjusting the rollout and explaining what is changing. This update covers where the old content went, how to find rules and guides, and what the long term goal is. Consequently, it is worth a read for anyone who builds or plays Flames Of War or Team Yankee.

Where The Sites And Content Went

Originally, FlamesOfWar.com and TeamYankee.com were being redirected into the new Battlefront Group and Battlefront Community platforms. However, that made many players feel like huge chunks of content had vanished. So Battlefront removed the redirects, which means you can once again access both legacy sites directly. At the same time, they are building a temporary WordPress archive to host old articles, spotlights, and guides while content is slowly ported into the new Community site. Moreover, they say this archive will stay up during the whole transition. Each week, newly moved articles will be highlighted in their newsletters, so subscribing is the easiest way to track what has been restored.

Finding Assembly Guides And Downloads

For current products, assembly guides should now live on each kit’s page at BattlefrontGroup.com. You can search by name or go straight to the product code URL printed on the box, then scroll down to the Assembly Guide tab. Otherwise, older kits should still have their original spotlight and build info on the archive site. Downloads are being centralised, and Battlefront admits they must be easier to find. In the meantime, they are providing stable direct links for the main FAQ and the More Missions pack, which will be updated in place whenever new versions release. Therefore, bookmarking those links is the recommended short term fix.

Summary

In short, the web migration hit some bumps, but Battlefront is course correcting. You get the old URLs back, a growing archive, and clearer places to grab guides and rules. Meanwhile, the new Battlefront Group and Battlefront Community sites aim to deliver better search, tagging, product info, and mobile performance. So things are messy now, but the promise is a cleaner, faster online home for Flames Of War and Team Yankee in the long run.
