Sigmar’s Toll just dropped Episode 2 on Warhammer TV, and it rules.
The new trailer teases a darker, heavier tone. Moreover, the full episode dives into the cost of reforging. However, it also gives us killer Stormcast character beats. Consequently, I binged both episodes and immediately wanted more.
The Obsidian Tor and the Ruination Chamber
We finally step inside the Obsidian Tor, a fortress carved into the Adamantine Chain in Aqshy. It looms like a thunderhead over a realm on the brink. Moreover, this is a bastion of the Ruination Chamber, the Stormcast cadre forged for ruin’s edge. Their presence signals that things have gone very wrong. Consequently, the episode treats the Tor like a character, all black stone and crackling stormlight.
The Tor’s Somber Elite
Theodore returns as Prosecutor Prime, but with a colder aura. Prosecutors act as Sigmar’s vanguard, so they have died often. Moreover, cursed skies and repeated reforgings leave them hollow yet lethal. They feel like veterans who gave everything and kept fighting anyway.
Lord Vigilant Greylock rules the Tor from the saddle of Fulnus, his eerie Gryph stalker. The mount mocks speech in a chilling, birdlike echo. However, Greylock still crackles with storm energy and grim resolve. It falls to him to choose when the Ruination Chamber rides. Consequently, as Skaven flood the realm, pressure mounts to unleash the hammer.

Reclusian Myridia embodies reforging’s toll. She grapples with broken memory shards and faces she cannot place. Moreover, her mortal aide Jaxa serves as Memorian Scribe and likely kin. Jaxa anchors Myridia’s mind with quiet, careful devotion. Therefore, every scene hums with the fear of losing the last thread.
Lord Terminos Heldren is the episode’s gravest presence. His duty is mercy by finality. Additionally, he judges when a Stormcast soul is too fractured to continue. Only then does his great axe grant the last release. Consequently, the Chamber carries not only wargear, but also the end of service.
Themes, Stakes, and Why It Hits
This chapter is not about easy victories. Instead, it explores what reforging costs in dignity and memory. Moreover, it shows command as a burden, not a trophy. Greylock weighs lives against a realm crawling with Skaven. Meanwhile, Myridia’s struggle grounds the myth in painful humanity. Consequently, the Ruination Chamber feels terrifying by design yet deeply tragic. It is the point where heroism becomes attrition, and attrition becomes ritual.
Summary
Episode 2 gives us an unprecedented look at the Ruination Chamber’s heart. The Obsidian Tor, Theodore’s hardened vanguard, Greylock’s grim calculus, Myridia’s fraying soul, and Heldren’s solemn mercy all land. Moreover, the Skaven tide raises the stakes without stealing focus from character. Consequently, Sigmar’s Toll finds a sharp balance between spectacle and sorrow. Episodes 1 and 2 are live now on Warhammer TV with Warhammer Plus. Therefore, grab a brew, queue the storm, and let the thunder roll.
