New Supplements Coming for The Silver Bayonet

The phenomenal Gothic Horror game by Joe McCullough has a new supplement on preorder and another just announced. Let’s take a look!

It is perhaps no great surprise that a gothic horror miniatures game would be a huge hit, given the incredible (some would say “supernatural”) persistence of our culture’s fascination with the works of Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley and their countless imitators. And yet, expansions for The Silver Bayonet continue to shamble out of the shadows in a seemingly endless horde. The base game, set on the European mainland during the Napoleonic Wars, has been expanded with supplemental books focusing on The Carpathians, Canada and Egypt already. Now a new expansion, Britain: Bones of Albion, is up for preorder, and like a good jump scare, another book as been announced behind it – Italy: The Shades of Calabria.

As with all of TSB’s expansions a host of new monsters, units and models to depict them have been shown off. Each expansion features a specific location and creatures from that area’s history, culture and mythology. Britain will feature skeletal anglo-saxon warriors on foot and mounted, as well as Bow Street Runners (London’s first professional police force) as special characters for British warbands. The miniatures already on display for Italy are skeletal Romans and Normans (yes, they didn’t just conquer Britain!).

Clearly The Silver Bayonet won’t expire anytime soon! What do you think, are you excited for these new releases? Let us know what you think in the comments!
