It’s a huge week for Warhammer 40,000 fans, with new releases for multiple factions, including the long-awaited return of the Leagues of Votann.
Alongside the Kin’s exciting new Codex and models, players can look forward to some fantastic Made to Order releases and new Combat Patrols. Whether you’re diving into the Age of Darkness or gearing up for fresh battles, these new releases have something for everyone.
Leagues of Votann: Resurgence and New Releases
The Leagues of Votann are making a powerful comeback with a brand-new Codex featuring 144 pages of lore, new datasheets, and a unique army rule called Prioritised Efficiency. This rule lets your units collect Yield Points by controlling objectives, unlocking combat bonuses that can turn the tide of battle. The Codex comes in both regular and collector’s editions, with the latter featuring a soft-touch cover, ribbon bookmark, and teal foil edges.
Along with this, the Combat Patrol: Leagues of Votann provides a great starting point for new players, including an Einhyr Champion leading a hard-hitting infantry force, perfect for smaller games or as the core of a new army.
The Leagues also get several exciting new models. Buri Aegnirssen is a lone survivor from the Emberg-Aegnir Bloc, wielding the deadly darkstar glaive “Bane.”
Alongside him, the Arkanyst Evaluator brings experimental weaponry to the battlefield, while the Memnyr Strategist, an Ironkin character, offers tactical advantages by manipulating Yield Points.

The Cthonian Earthshakers and Ironkin Steeljacks provide powerful new units, with versatile weapon loadouts and dynamic poses, further enhancing the Leagues’ combat potential.
Salamanders, World Eaters, and Chaos
The Salamanders get a new Combat Patrol, the Pyroclasm Assault Force, featuring Adrax Agatone, an Invader ATV, and a host of flame-wielding troops. This set is perfect for players looking to dive into Salamanders or expand their forces. To complete the theme, there’s a fiery set of Salamanders Dice that match the iconic yellow and black color scheme.
The World Eaters are also getting a major boost with the release of the Slaughterbound, a Khorne-infused champion who leads units of Eightbound into brutal combat.
His presence on the battlefield is as devastating as the Bloodthirster that possesses him, giving his units the ability to return a fallen fighter each turn.
For the Death Guard, the Lord of Poxes gets his own release, bringing foul miasmas and Plague Marines to the front lines in a different, more sinister way.
Limited Releases and Commemorative Models
Wrapping up the week’s releases is the Warhammer Commemorative Series: Captain Centos. This limited-edition character is available exclusively in Warhammer stores and celebrates major store milestones. Painted as an Ultramarine, Captain Centos can be used by any Space Marine Chapter, offering both collectors and players a chance to add this iconic figure to their armies. This model will be available for sale on August 9th, but only while stocks last, so don’t miss out!
Conclusion: A Week of Massive Releases
This week’s Warhammer 40,000 releases are jam-packed with excitement. Whether you’re assembling your Leagues of Votann army, adding to your Salamanders or World Eaters, or hunting down the limited edition Captain Centos, there’s something for everyone. With new models, Codex updates, and unique army rules, this is the perfect time to expand your collection and dive deeper into the grimdark future. Happy collecting and painting, and may your dice roll true!
