The new edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is rolling hard, and the Saturnine hype is real.
Next week, individual kits from the big box hit pre‑order, so wallets beware. As a long time Heresy player, I am thrilled by the options and the lore depth. Moreover, there is fresh White Dwarf content and juicy Black Library releases. Consequently, this week feels like a full hobby banquet.
Saturnine Praetor and Terminators
The standalone Saturnine Praetor is a dream kitbash base. You get a concussion hammer, a Saturnine war axe, and a plasma blaster. Additionally, you choose among four heads, tabard or pteruges, two chest aiguillettes, and two shoulder styles per side. The posing tabs are optional for custom stances on the rubble base. You also get a character transfer sheet with 339 decals.

The Saturnine Terminator Squad doubles down on brutal style and firepower. Each pair offers four heads, two plasma bombards, two twin heavy disintegrators, and two disruption fists. Knees have tabbed ball joints for easy posing, which you can cut. Moreover, a 618‑decal infantry sheet supports any Legion scheme.
Saturnine Siege Dreadnoughts
The Siege Dreadnought stands taller than a Leviathan and brings mid‑range pain. The Chiron loadout packs disintegrator cannon and heavy plasma bombard arms. You also pick photonic incinerators or twin concussion resonators for the chest. Furthermore, you get loyalist or traitor gorgets, two heads with two face plates each, a halo option, and three front plate sets.
The Ophion swaps the arms to inversion beamer and graviton pulveriser, with heavy particle shredders in the chest. Both boxes include a 528‑decal Dreadnought sheet. Also, separate weapon sprues land for both builds. Therefore, magnetising arms to mission swap is very doable.
Centurion and MkII Veterans with Disintegrators
A new Centurion rocks MkII Crusade armour and a power maul. You choose a helmeted head or a bare rebreather head, plus a 339‑decal sheet.

The MkII Veteran Squad embraces Terran disintegrators in style. You get ten Legionaries and a full tray of exotic guns. That means rifles, combi‑disintegrators, pistols, blasters, heavy disintegrators, and battery packs.

Additionally, an accessory frame and a 618‑decal sheet are included. If you want to arm other marks, the Disintegrator Upgrade Set adds twenty rifles and more across two frames.
Bunkers, Pods, and Big Guns
The Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform lays down quad autocannon storms. Its atomantic pavise projects a protective field, which is very on theme for sieges.
The returning Legiones Astartes Drop Pod arrives as a classic plastic kit. It comes with a 288‑decal vehicle sheet. Consequently, early strike lists get new life.
Play Aids and Dice
The Age of Darkness markers kit introduces plastic tokens for the new Tactical Statuses. You get Pinned, Suppressed, Stunned, and Routed markers, plus eight objectives. Additionally, the Age of Darkness dice pack brings nineteen D6 with Sons of Horus sixes and a scatter die. Your tray will thank y
