Don’t make me buy these OOP minis. I’ll do it!
The Frontline Gaming Secondhand Shop is a great spot to find rare and out of production minis, many of which will still work perfectly well in 40K and Old World armies. Today I am taking a look at our selection of secondhand Bretonnians.
Bretonian Foot Knight Metal (sic)
This sculpt has been around for a while and was actually meant to be a Grail Knight hero that could be embedded in foot regiments. Still perfectly usable for this purpose!
Old World Bretonnian Army Knights of the Realm metal
This listing’s title is a mouthful and also not entirely accurate. A Bretonnian connoisseur will note that the lack of helmets actually denotes Knights Errant, rather than knights of the realm, but they are indeed the old metals Perry sculpts. But some closer inspection will reveal that there are 6 knights with couched lances. There is also a Knight Errant Standard bearer, but the rest of the command models are from other kits. The trumpeter is a knight of the realm, and the champion model is actually the old Tristan le Troubadour mini. There is also a weird outlier of a plastic knight of the realm from the 5th edition boxed set that has been given a bare head from the Empire Knights kit.

An identical title, though a different listing! This one is closer to the mark, as most of these minis are the old, plastic Knights from the 5th edition starter box, with two notable exceptions: The Standard bearer appears to be a metal Questing Knight (back when they carried lances) and there is a trumpet peaking out from behind the red knight with a lion crest. Unfortunately the rest of the trumpeter is obscured, but the angle of the trumpet suggests it may be another Knight of the Realm trumpeter.

Third listing with the same title is the charm, and boy is this one neat! Look closely and you will definitely see four plastic Knights of the Realm, but everything else is a treasure! There is a metal Grail Knight champion on the far left. The back row is all special stuff! From left to right we have a Knight of the Realm Champion, Knight Errant musician, Grail Knight, Knight of the Realm hero, and a Grail Knight standard bearer who appears to have tragically had his crest removed.

4 mounted Yoemen! Two of them appear to be standard bearers, holding longer spears without cross pieces. The mini on the far left looks to be converted but I can’t for the life of me tell where that head comes from. I’m going to feel dumb when I eventually figure it out.

3 plastic pegasus knights! It looks like one might have a a broken lance.

And there we have it! Some cool stuff hidden behind some relatively bland titles in there. Get it before it’s gone!
