After an incredible showing at AdeptiCon 2025, where Borja Calvo Bertrán de Lis took home the Slayer Sword, the prestigious Golden Demon painting competition is heading back to Europe for its second leg.
That’s right — Golden Demon returns to SPIEL Essen in October 2025, and it’s time to start prepping your entries!
Entry Guidelines for SPIEL 2025
- Categories remain the same as AdeptiCon 2025, with one key update:
Custom sculpts are now only eligible for the Open Competition. - A new season means new pins, plus the updated awards structure introduced this year will remain in effect.
- Renowned artist and 2013 Slayer Sword winner Roman Lappat joins the judging panel for the full season.
