Hey fellow hobbyists! If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the NOVA Open 2025, here’s the latest update
What Went Down
Last week, the NOVA Open’s ticket sales launch hit a snag. The platform responsible for managing the event’s sales and registration processes, Tabletop.Events, experienced technical difficulties. An inefficient query in the badge selection process caused the system to slow down significantly, leading to the suspension of ticket sales.
The Fix Is Up
The good news is that the issue has been identified and corrected. The NOVA Open team, in collaboration with Tabletop.Events, has implemented additional safeguards to ensure a smoother experience when ticket sales resume. They’re conducting an audit to determine whether existing carts can be retained or if a fresh start is necessary. Updates on this will be provided later this week.
Addressing Purchase Issues
For those who managed to make purchases during the initial launch but encountered issues like duplicate orders, the NOVA Open team is committed to resolving these problems. They’re covering any fees incurred due to mistaken or extra purchases. Affected attendees are encouraged to reach out to customerservice@novaopen.com for assistance.
SuperNOVA Passes and New Events
To ensure fairness, the NOVA Open is adding 10 more SuperNOVA badges to the pool, compensating for those purchased before sales were halted. Additionally, the event lineup has expanded to include both new and returning favorites such as Arena Rex, BLKOUT, Dice Throne, Don’t Look Back, Gaslands, Kingdom Death, Halo: Flashpoint, Kings of War Champions, Titans 28mm – Giant Battles, Warcrow, and Warhammer: Underworlds.
Looking Ahead
Mark your calendars: ticket sales are set to resume on April 22 at 8 PM ET. The NOVA Open team is working diligently to ensure a fair and smooth process for all attendees. Stay tuned for further updates and prepare for an exciting convention experience!
