The Warhammer Design Studio has rolled out adjustments to the Orks’ “More Dakka!” Detachment, aiming to balance its overwhelming firepower that has recently dominated the tabletop.
Key Changes:
- Detachment Rule Update: Previously, Ork Infantry and Walker units benefited from [Sustained Hits 2] during the Shooting phase. Now, they gain the [Assault] ability passively, allowing them to advance and shoot. The [Sustained Hits 1] ability is now activated only during the Waaagh!
- Stratagem Adjustments:
- Get Stuck In, Ladz!: This Stratagem’s cost has increased from 1CP to 2CP and now excludes Gretchin units, aligning with the thematic intent that they aren’t considered part of “the ladz.”
- Long, Uncontrolled Bursts: This Stratagem now applies only to a single Ork unit that hasn’t been selected to shoot yet, rather than granting the entire army the ability to ignore cover when targeting a specific enemy unit
These modifications are designed to maintain the Orks’ characteristic firepower while ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable experience for all players. The updated detachment rules are effective immediately and can be accessed through the Warhammer 40,000 app.
