The community’s voice is being summoned once again, as Black Library opens voting for the Reader’s Choice 2025 reprints
Now you have the chance to bring back two legendary novels into physical print. As with previous years, the titles with the most votes (one from each category: Warhammer 40,000 and the World of Legend) will return in a new print run.
Last year, Titanicus by Dan Abnett and Grey Seer by C.L. Werner earned the community’s favor. This year’s nominees bring a mix of fan-favourite characters, iconic factions, and apocalyptic stakes. Whether you’re chasing grimdark techno-mysticism or legendary fantasy epics, there’s something here for you.
Warhammer 40,000 Nominees
- Deathwatch by Steve Parker – A high-stakes, claustrophobic mission into a Genestealer-infested lair, led by the psi-powered Brother-Librarian Karras. Perfect for fans of elite kill teams and alien horror.
- Mephiston: Blood of Sanguinius by Darius Hinks – The story of the Blood Angels’ Chief Librarian who conquered the Black Rage. Rich in lore and personal struggle, this novel digs deep into Mephiston’s psyche.
- Salamander by Nick Kyme – The fiery start of the Tome of Fire trilogy. It’s the definitive modern take on the Salamanders Chapter, blending internal conflict with battlefield fury.
- Warlord: Fury of the God Machine by David Annandale – A tale of strained alliances between a Titan Legion and Imperial Knights as they attempt to wrest a forge world from Chaos. Massive scale warfare meets emotional tension.
- The World Engine by Ben Counter – A desperate assault against a world-destroying Necron superweapon. The Astral Knights sacrifice everything in this unforgettable tale of grim heroism and sheer scale.
The World of Legend Nominees
- Grudge Bearer by Gav Thorpe – A deep dive into Dwarf culture through the eyes of Barundin, whose grudges spark a campaign of vengeance. Classic Warhammer Dawi energy.
- Orion: The Vaults of Winter by Darius Hinks – Wood Elf intrigue meets wild, nature-bound warfare. Orion must root out a traitor among his own.
- Sigvald by Darius Hinks – Prince Sigvald’s quest for a chaos artefact leads him down a path of grandeur and doom. A deliciously decadent tale full of Slaaneshi excess.
- Neferata by Josh Reynolds – The mother of all vampires plots to carve a new legacy from the ashes of her old empire. Intrigue, dark sorcery, and palace politics all collide.
- Blood of Aenarion by William King – The epic start of Tyrion & Teclis’ saga. An origin story steeped in High Elf tradition, ideal for fans of noble tragedy and war-forged heroism.
