As the Beastmen Brayherds surge from the shadowed groves, the Wood Elf Realms are mustering their wild and elegant defenders to strike back.
With a brand-new Battalion box, an Arcane Journal, and a host of returning classic kits, the children of Athel Loren are ready to reclaim their woods. Whether you’re an old-school Asrai player or entering the forest for the first time, there’s plenty here to enchant your collection.
New Releases: Defenders of the Everwood
Leading the charge is the Wood Elf Realms Battalion – a flexible 62-model army box filled with iconic units. You get 32 Glade Guard to lay down expert archery fire, 20 Wild Rangers for vicious melee support, and 10 Wild Riders to race across the battlefield. Each kit has alternate builds, giving you the option to field Deepwood Scouts, Eternal Guard, or Sisters of the Thorn, depending on how your warhost wants to take form.
To round out the set, you also get two massive Wood Elf transfer sheets, each with 186 runes, emblems, and designs to personalize your force.
Alongside the models comes the Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms – a 48-page book packed with background on Athel Loren, the twisting power of the forest, and the fickle spirits who dwell within it. It contains full rules for Orion, the King in the Woods, and Araloth, Lord of Talsyn, plus Armies of Infamy, unique spells from the Lore of the Wilds, character upgrades through Wood Elf Kindreds, and more.
Returning Kits: Heroes, Spirits, and Forest Guardians
Many classic kits return from the mists of time:
- Plastic kits include Araloth and all units found in the battalion, giving you more ways to bulk out your force or specialize it further.
- Metal classics bring back the full majesty and weirdness of the range. Orion is back in his full wrathful glory, joined by Nobles mounted on Elven Steeds, Stags, Great Eagles, and Forest Dragons. Mages, Waystalkers, and Branchwraiths return to cast spells and protect the ley-lines of the forest.
- The magical wilds bring forth Treemen, Treekin, Warhawk Riders, Forest Watchers, and the ever-elusive Wardancer Troupe – each bringing speed, style, and trickery to the battlefield.
And for the true Old World veterans, the Beast Pack makes its return. First released in 1987, these 12 miniatures – four elves and their long-lost animal companions – are so secretive they’ve eluded photography for now. A hidden gem for collectors, they’re a callback to the deep roots of the Wood Elf lore.
The War for the Wilds Begins

This release is a beautiful balance of familiar and new. It refreshes the Wood Elf aesthetic while keeping all the classic flavor intact – nimble tactics, clever unit options, and the mystical wrath of nature itself. Whether you’re reforging an ancient army or building a forest force for the first time, the Realms of the Wood Elves are calling.
And if the Brayherds think they can corrupt these sacred groves, they’re about to meet arrow, claw, and wrath in equal measure.
