The battles of Warhammer Age of Sigmar rage on, and in the wake of the Vermindoom, things are getting bloodier.
Now, the focus shifts to the shadowed sands of Shyish in the newest Spearhead release: Sand and Bone.
This update expands fast and furious games of Age of Sigmar with fresh rules, new terrain, and four ready-to-play armies set in the bleak sepulchral landscapes of Dolorum and Ossia. And as the 2025-2026 Matched Play season draws near, it lays the groundwork for the upcoming General’s Handbook and the event arc known as Scourge of Ghyran.
What’s Inside the Sand and Bone Gaming Pack?
- A double-sided board featuring Shyish’s deathly realms.
- A 24-page rulebook detailing the Sand and Bone Spearhead Battlepack.
- New Twists, Battle Tactics, and Objectives, named after Nagash’s Mortarchs.

Meet the New Spearhead Forces
Cities of Sigmar – Fusil-Platoon
These disciplined gunlines bring powder and precision to Shyish. Led by a Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk and supported by an Alchemite Warforger, this force includes 10 Freeguild Fusiliers and a Wildercorps Hunters unit for mobility and disruption. Expect fortified positions and deadly volleys.
Seraphon – Sunblood Prowlers
The Slann direct these jungle killers without blinking. The Prowlers mix 10 Saurus Warriors, a Spawn of Chotec, 10 Hunters of Huanchi, and 3 Terrawings, combining brute force with high-speed skirmishing.
Ossiarch Bonereapers – Mortisan Elite
The Bonereapers bring brutal economy: fewer models, but each is devastating. A Mortisan Ossifector commands 2 Morghast Archai, 3 Immortis Guard, and 3 Necropolis Stalkers – tough, disciplined, and deadly.
Ogor Mawtribes – Scrapglutt
Ogres love scrap almost as much as they love meat. Led by a Mantrapper, this army includes 12 Gnoblars, a Scraplauncher, and 4 Ironguts, with 4 more Ironguts entering when the fight gets hot.
