If you thought Volkus couldn’t get any worse, think again. The T’au Empire is invading, Orks are eyeing the Massif Ballistus like it’s prime loot, and Chaos cults are running riot.
Amidst the madness, the Imperium’s overworked laborers are still reloading their Great Gun. And now… Tyranids.
Kill Team: Typhon is the next big box in the Kill Team series, and it plunges players into a subterranean war for survival. Tectonic quakes – a common aftermath of the Day of Firing – have unearthed strange relics buried beneath the sands of Volkus. But instead of simple xeno-tech or lost Mechanicus treasures, something far more sinister stirs: a kill team of burrowing Raveners, ready to prime the planet for a full Tyranid invasion.
The Kill Teams: Cunning Predators vs. Calculating Defenders
The Ravener Kill Team is unlike any Tyranid force we’ve seen in Kill Team so far. You’ll field just five elite operatives, and every loss will sting. But what they lack in numbers, they make up for with terrifying mobility and raw killing power. These Raveners tunnel beneath the killzone, emerging in unexpected places to launch devastating melee assaults before melting back into the shadows.

Opposing them are the Adeptus Mechanicus, though not in their usual guise. With Skitarii resources stretched thin, the Tech-Priests have cobbled together a force of servitors, lobotomised gun-platforms guided by the noosphere. These cybernetic horrors operate with eerie coordination, using shared motive force to boost one another’s positioning and firing lines – a truly alien approach to battlefield control, even for the Mechanicus.
What’s in the Box: Terrain, Tactics, and Tyranid Lore

Kill Team: Typhon follows in the footsteps of Brutal and Cunning and Blood and Zeal, delivering a complete narrative expansion:
- Tyranid-infested terrain, themed around the burrowing bioforms and corrupted ruins beneath Volkus.
- A 56-page Typhon Dossier packed with background lore, kill team rules, and a full mission pack built around the new terrain.
- Significantly expanded Joint Ops co-op rules, introducing fully fleshed-out Non-Player Operatives (NPOs) to support narrative and solo play. These include statlines for various Tyranid creatures – perfect for a horde-style survival scenario.
The Hive Mind Stirs

Kill Team: Typhon promises to bring a whole new layer of tension to your games, pushing the asymmetrical format of Kill Team to new heights. Raveners are brutal, surgical predators. The Mechanicus servitor force is a walking puzzle box of coordinated destruction. And with new co-op missions and alien terrain, this box is shaping up to be one of the most unique experiences yet.
