It’s that time again – the 2025 NOVA Open event schedule is now live for preview, giving you the first chance to start planning your schedule ahead of the big sales launch on April 10 at 8pm ET.
While the current schedule is already packed with awesome events, the tech-priests are still tuning the machine spirit, so expect even more additions between now and launch.
Getting Started
NOVA Open uses Tabletop.events (TTE) for registration and scheduling. If you haven’t already made an account, register now. If you’re already set up, just head over to the preview schedule to start browsing.
New this year: You can now “Like” events in TTE. It’s a super handy way to bookmark the games, classes, or events you’re interested in so your checkout on launch day is fast and smooth.
Artist Spotlight: Kimera + Digital Sculpting Debuts
Two powerhouse names in the miniature painting world – Francesco Farabi and Riccardo Agostini – will be leading a two-day pre-convention masterclass on painting. Learn advanced skills like paint mixing, saturation control, lifelike faces, realistic fabrics, and masterful Non-Metallic Metal (NMM) techniques. If you want to level up your painting game, this is a rare opportunity.
Also new this year: Digital Sculpting with Africa Mir of Kimera. In this two-day sculpting class, you’ll deep-dive into ZBrush and learn how to bring your mini concept from brain to 3D model. Whether you want to create your own sculpts or just understand what goes into making minis, this is a must-attend for digital creatives.
New for 2025 – TRENCH CRUSADE
Coming in hot off a huge Kickstarter, Trench Crusade is back at NOVA Open with demos, a vendor booth, and an epic multi-day narrative campaign. This gritty, alt-history WWI skirmish game has been gaining serious momentum, and now’s your chance to dive in, learn the rules, and fight for your chosen warband in a full campaign setting.
