The Las Vegas Open XII (LVO) is making major changes in 2025, moving to a new date in October and expanding into a larger venue to accommodate its growing community.
Whether you are a competitive player, a hobby enthusiast, or simply enjoy the social aspects of tabletop gaming, LVO XII is set to be the most significant wargaming event of the year.
What’s New for LVO XII?
New Dates
For the first time, LVO moves from its traditional January slot to October 2-5, 2025. This change coincides with the change to the ITC season and will be a capstone event to the new season timeline!
New Venue
The event now takes place at The Expo @ World Market Center, offering over 300,000 square feet—triple the space of previous years. This expansion means more gaming tables, a larger vendor hall, and dedicated hobby areas, ensuring a more comfortable and immersive experience.
Hotel Partnership
LVO XII is partnering with the Golden Nugget, a newly renovated hotel less than a mile from the venue. A discounted room block will be available, making it easier for attendees to stay close to the event. We will also have a shuttle service to and from the venue to make it easy without having to worry about paying for an Uber or Taxi or walking, and we will have options to leave your gaming gear in the venue so you don’t have to lug it around with you!

Warhammer 40K & Age of Sigmar Championships
LVO’s flagship tournaments return, offering high-level competitive play and a proving ground for top players worldwide. Whether you aim for victory or just enjoy the challenge, these events remain a centerpiece of the convention.
Trading Card Game (TCG) Tournaments
For the first time, LVO will host official TCG tournaments, introducing a new layer of competition and broadening the event’s appeal.
Board Game Tournaments
We are working with some well known Board Game manufacturers to have Board Gaming events this year as well! The details are TBD but we are excited to explore more of the tabletop space at the upcoming LVO!
Expanded Hobby Programming and Vendor Hall
This year features more painting workshops, seminars, and competitions, along with an even larger vendor marketplace. Expect to see major brands, independent creators, exclusive convention merchandise, and a wide range of miniatures, terrain, and hobby supplies.
Community Events and Social Gatherings
