Prince Imrahil Rides Forth – New Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Releases Coming Soon

The new edition of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game has been out for a few months now, and the pace isn’t slowing down. Following the first designer’s commentary and the new plastic Bolg, Spawn of Azog, the next hero to join the battlefield is none other than Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth.

Prince Imrahil – The Swan Prince of Gondor

A descendant of the noble line of Númenor and brother-in-law to Denethor, Prince Imrahil is one of Gondor’s most valiant warriors. He famously led the Knights of Dol Amroth in a heroic charge to save Faramir from the armies of Mordor and fought at the Battle of Pelennor Fields, bringing much-needed reinforcements to Minas Tirith.

The new plastic kit features Prince Imrahil both on foot and mounted atop an armored warhorse, with intricately detailed swan-themed armor befitting the Lord of Dol Amroth. This long-awaited model brings a key figure of Gondor’s Fiefdoms to the battlefield in stunning detail.

Armies of Middle-earth – Expanding Your Forces

Prince Imrahil’s rules will be included in Armies of Middle-earth, a 192-page hardback supplement that significantly expands unit options and army-building possibilities for the game.

This massive book includes rules for 130 units, featuring heroes, villains, monsters, and warriors from across Middle-earth’s history. Alongside classic miniatures, the book introduces brand-new unit profiles, such as the fearsome War Drakes of Rhûn.

New Army Lists for Good and Evil

The Forces of Good get 14 themed army lists, including some legendary battles and factions:

For those who prefer to serve the Dark Lords, the Forces of Evil have their own 14 army lists, filled with iconic villains and shadowy hosts:

How This Expands Your Collection

Many of the heroes and warriors featured in Armies of Middle-earth can also be used in lists found in Armies of The Lord of the Rings and Armies of The Hobbit. To clarify unit compatibility, the book includes the Legions of Middle-earth section, which outlines which lists each unit can be used in and what Heroic Tier their leaders fall into.

For players who own existing collections and have been waiting for certain units to return to the game, this supplement offers rules for models not covered in the previous books, giving new life to classic miniatures and expanding army-building options significantly.

Pre-Orders Coming Soon

Both Prince Imrahil and Armies of Middle-earth will be available for pre-order in the coming months. Keep an eye on Warhammer Community for more details on when you can add these legendary heroes and expanded army lists to your collection. Whether you fight for the Free Peoples or the Forces of Darkness, this release is a major expansion that opens up even more strategic and thematic possibilities in the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.
