This update shifts focus from Matched Play to Narrative Play, allowing you to dive into the story and recreate legendary battles using the miniatures from your collection. If you’ve ever wanted to reenact some of your favorite scenes from the books and movies, this is your chance to immerse yourself in Middle-earth history.
The Narrative Scenarios are where the heart of the game truly lies. They let you play through pivotal moments, such as the brutal confrontation on Weathertop, where Frodo and his friends fend off the terrifying Nazgûl. Or you could take on the Battle of Balin’s Tomb, battling to control the Fellowship as they defend against the oncoming dangers. And, for one of the most emotional moments, there’s the scene at Amon Hen, where the Fellowship finally fractures, setting each member off on their own path.
Each PDF includes a selection of scenarios for a particular film (starting with The Fellowship of the Ring), providing everything you need to play. This includes the specific miniatures required, board setup guidance, and special rules that help bring the movies to life on your gaming table. Will you stand with Gondor or the Hobbits, or will you join the dark forces of Mordor and destroy the Ringbearer?
