The Gloomspite Gitz are a chaotic and fanatical bunch of grots, all united by their worship of the Bad Moon, a malevolent celestial body that roams the realms, leaving chaos and madness in its wake.
This chaotic moon brings with it power, as those who manage to amuse it are said to be rewarded with potent abilities. The Gitmob, in particular, is dedicated to chasing this moon and performing acts of cruelty to get its attention, often battling their kin for favor and access to the Everdank, a strange, clammy utopia.
However, the Bad Moon is not without its enemy – the Glareface Frazzlegit, a solar entity representing the bright light of Hysh, constantly at odds with the Bad Moon. Most grots detest the light, but those from the Hysh region, known as the Gitmobs, have learned to channel this energy. These sun-loving grots, while still loyal to the Bad Moon, see the Frazzlegit as a celestial bully, and they strike back with aggression, emulating the light’s intensity. Their Frazzlegit Shamans even weaponize its glare, turning it into powerful blinding bursts to enhance their weapons.
This pursuit of Hysh’s radiant magic often leads the Gitmobs into conflict with the Lumineth Realm-lords, whose sunmetal weapons are highly coveted by the grots. The Stormcast Eternals also become a target for the Gitmobs, who see them as foes to overcome and loot, especially since their armor is returned to Azyr on death, cheating the grots of their hard-earned prize.
