This week’s Arena of Death episode on WarhammerTV is bringing the high-speed chaos of an Ork Destrukshun Derby, where four Ork clans throw their bravest Speed Freeks into a brutal race for glory.
Forget duels—this is a full-throttle free-for-all with vehicles, upgrades, and plenty of explosions.
The episode is set in a custom-built arena filled with weapons that can be grabbed and attached to vehicles, making the chaos even more intense. The board also includes six special Kustom Gubbins trailers that can only be accessed by making a daring jump over a scrap ramp built using a Stompa support structure. The setup is packed with unique features and creative touches, giving it a wild, Ork-approved vibe.
The four clans involved are the Goffs, Evil Sunz, Deathskulls, and Snakebites. Each clan has its own distinctive vehicles: the Goffs bring a heavily upgraded Battlewagon and Defkilla Wartrike, while the Evil Sunz race in fast buggies like the Megatrakk Scrapjet. The Deathskulls roll in with two Trukks, and the Snakebites bring the outrageous Big Rig. What’s awesome about using Orks is that their love for bolting random stuff to their vehicles gives the designers lots of freedom. There’s no rigid design, so the team got creative by scavenging bits from different kits like Trukks and Killa Kans.
Andy and James from the team behind the episode had a blast working on this. They say it felt like an old-school exhibition game where they could go wild with the customizations. If you’re inspired to try something similar, there will be a future episode of Da Mekboy’z Workshop breaking down the making and painting of the board, vehicles, and accessories.
You can watch the Arena of Death episode right now on Warhammer TV, and it’s packed with intense racing action, plus a little nod to Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks for fans of the game. But the fun doesn’t stop there! The rest of the week includes episodes on the Gitmob from Age of Sigmar and tips on painting the Death Korps of Krieg on Citadel Colour Masterclass. Don’t miss out!
