So it looks like GW has updated their interactive map of the Old World and with it, added a bunch of hints!
The Update
Well that’s awesome! It looks like a Cathay Junk has been added to the map! I wonder what they are doing up there? But that’s not all, check out what other area of the map got updated:
For those not in the know, this is a region of the old world known as Estalia. It is a collection of human kingdoms that are renown for their mercenaries, commonly referred to as the Dogs of war
Putting it Together
Some people are guessing this has to do with new DLC coming to the Total War Warhammer 3 game. It may also indicate a new team up between the forces of Cathay and the Dogs of War. There is already a Cathaian character who is a noted sailor and expansionist (Yin-Yin). Perhaps she is teaming up with some mercenaries to attack the old world? Sounds like a tie-in novel if nothing else!
This also makes sense as it would allow GW to re-print some older models and ease Cathay units into the setting. What do you think?
