As part of the excitement surrounding the upcoming Black Library Celebration, two iconic characters from Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar are making their way to the tabletop in new plastic kits.
These miniatures, inspired by the novels and stories of their respective universes, offer collectors and gamers alike the chance to bring these legendary figures to life.
Minka Lesk and the Cadian 101st – Hell’s Last
First up, Minka Lesk, the heroic leader of the Cadian 101st—nicknamed Hell’s Last—is stepping off the pages and into the Warhammer 40,000 battlefield. Known for her leadership and bravery in the face of impossible odds, Captain Minka Lesk returns in a new, more experienced form, accompanied by her veteran command squad. This squad is composed of a diverse range of characters, including:
- Grawnya Ironbrow, first introduced in Shadow of the Eighth,
- Veteran Trooper Jaromir,
- Commissar Shand, and
- Confessor Talbeas, who carries the seventh company’s standard, an unusual departure from traditional Astra Militarum doctrine.
The Cadian 101st are depicted in the midst of a deadly jungle campaign, as detailed in the novel Hell’s Last by Justin D. Hill, where Lesk and her squad fight to break a siege threatening to obliterate their storied regiment. The miniature set will be an excellent addition to any collection of Astra Militarum fans and also includes a Legends datasheet for casual games of Warhammer 40,000.
Maleneth Witchblade – The Assassin from Shade of Khaine

In the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe, the mysterious Maleneth Witchblade—an assassin from the Daughters of Khaine faction—joins the battlefield with a new commemorative miniature. Maleneth, a sinister figure from the world of Gotrek Gurnisson, is now a central character in her own solo novel, Shade of Khaine by Evan Dicken.
This miniature captures Maleneth in the midst of her treacherous journey, as she tries to evade her former allies in the Order of Azyr while continuing her deadly quest. Her coven has been scattered in the Khainite stronghold of Nightcliff, and she’s ready to send enemies screaming into Shyish.
For fans of Gotrek and the Daughters of Khaine, this mini is a must-have collector’s item, and it pairs perfectly with the Gotrek Gurnisson miniature, which was previously released.
