After months of speculation among the community, Para Bellum Wargames, the developer and publisher of the fantasy Regimental Miniature Wargame “Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings” and Skirmish system “Conquest: First Blood,” has revealed its 9th faction: the demonic samurai called Yoroni!
A unique twist which marries the elegance of Japanese mythology to violent elements of the demonic from fantasy culture, the Yoroni are an easy-to-play, hard to master, brute-only faction. They feature a bruiser-like gameplay style, with mighty warriors and powerful abilities, giving players their own, unique and versatile way to dominate the battlefield, while bringing a whole new aesthetic on tabletops. With the graceful sophistication of artistry combined with the brutality of primordial warriors, a whole new, uniquely styled series of canvases to paint is coming for Conquest. And with this being a Brute army, it has never been easier to get into Conquest; or start a brand-new army you didn’t know you needed.
“Innovation and out-of-the-box thinking were key when developing the Yoroni,” says Stavros Halkias, Founder and Creative Director. “We wanted to capture the allure of Japanese mythology through our lore and designs, while creating an army that is fun and exciting to play.” Once parts of the endless legions of the Primordial War of Hosts, the hapless entities that would in time be turned into the Yoroni were cast into the very depths of the Elemental Domains. Seeking to reach the world of Eä through a spiritual process of Enlightenment, the Yoroni now enter the physical world en masse – threatening to disturb the balance of all things!
With deep lore, beautiful minis, and new tropes to explore in the world of Conquest, the Yoroni promise to provide entertainment on and off the table – with endless battles, lore, and hobby time! Focused on brutes, they will be easier to collect, while the boldness of their playstyle is bound to appeal to both new and old players alike!
This new faction is set to launch with a limited-edition Artisan Series Kitsune preview model in February, along with a Two Player Value Starter in March that will pit the Yoroni against the W’adrhŭn, while saving 2 gaming buddies $200 over the pricing if purchased separately. Now’s a great time to start a Conquest army alongside a friend! To learn more about the Yoroni, feel free to visit https://www.para-bellum.com/yoroni/! The Yoroni are available to preorder now on the Conquest E-Shop and at your FLGS! We will have the Kitsune preview at GAMA Trade Show, and for gamers at Tactica in Hamburg and The International Games Festival in Cannes. The launch of the Starter and many Brute Sets will be in March timed with Adepticon!
