Warhammer Miniature of the Year 2024: The Results Are In!

This year’s Miniature of the Year competition gave us three categories—Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and the Best of the Rest—so you could champion your favorites with extra freedom. Here’s a breakdown of all the top-rated winners and runners-up in each division.

Warhammer 40,000 Category

Winner: Night Lords Nemesis Claw

You voted in droves for the Night Lords Nemesis Claw, spotlighting the Legion’s brutally gothic aesthetic. Despite the heretics’ questionable tactics (we swear no flayed skins swayed the vote), the Nemesis Claw soared above formidable competition with its vicious detail and spine-chilling vibe.

2nd–5th Place

  1. Provisionally Prepared – A diorama of Ratling snipers balancing lunch and enemy fire, reminding us that orking up our enemies is easier on a full stomach.
  2. Inner Circle Companions – These silent guardians of the Dark Angels brought grim determination.
  3. Asmodai, Master of Repentance – Another Dark Angel entry, commanding your souls to repent post-haste.
  4. Celestian Sacresant Aveline – She brandished her fleur-de-lys banner with a righteous blaze.

6th–10th Place

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Category

Winner: Ushoran, the Summerking

The ghoulishly grandiose Ushoran—King of the Flesh-eater Courts—triumphed. Whether it’s his regal pose or monstrous aura, the Summerking dominated a year full of larger-than-life models.

2nd–5th Place

  1. Vizzik Skour, Prophet of the Horned Rat – A Skaven success story: plan executed, winner willed.
  2. Abraxia, Spear of the Everchosen – A towering Chaos champion under Archaon’s command.
  3. Chaos Sorcerer Lord – Harnessing arcane might to further the Ruinous Powers’ dark agenda.
  4. Grombrindal, the White Dwarf – The legendary dwarf hero returns, unstoppable as ever.

6th–10th Place

Best of the Rest

Winner: Tomb King/Liche Priest on Necrolith Bone Dragon

Unsurprisingly, the Bone Dragon from the reborn Warhammer: The Old World soared into first place, stirring nostalgia among longtime fans and heralding a cherished setting’s triumphant return.

2nd–5th Place

  1. Lady Élisse Duchaard – A Brettonian figure radiating courtly grace and martial skill.
  2. Thousand Sons Librarian Consul – An arcane champion in The Horus Heresy, exuding all that Tzeentch trickery.
  3. Malstrain Alpha – A vile Underhive alpha Genestealer from Necromunda.
  4. Alpha Legion Saboteur Consul – Cloaked in secrecy and sabotage for the Warmaster’s cause.

6th–10th Place
