The Tithes: Sacrifice

Alright, Warhammer fans, buckle up because Warhammer TV just dropped the first episode of their latest animation, The Tithes, and it’s an absolute treat for anyone who loves the darker, more mysterious corners of the Imperium. This three-part anthology is diving deep into some of the weirdest and most unsettling aspects of the Warhammer 40K universe. And in this first episode, titled Sacrifice, we’re headed back to the eerie Pariah Nexus. If you’ve been following the chaos there, you know the Imperium’s been having a rough go against those ancient Necron tomb worlds popping up like bad memories.

The Battle for Paradyce III

The setting for this episode is the war-torn world of Paradyce III, where things have seriously gone sideways. The Ultramarines were deployed to put the Necrons back in their graves, but let’s just say that didn’t exactly go as planned. Instead, what we get are some jaw-dropping visuals: think ruined gothic arches, fallen Titans, and those ominous black obelisks the Necrons love so much. It’s a beautiful, haunting backdrop that really sets the tone for the episode.

Meet Brutus: The Ultramarines Apothecary

The star of Sacrifice is Brutus, an Ultramarines Apothecary who’s rocking some serious gravis armor. He’s got that classic Chapter-blue mixed with the white of the Apothicarion, and his red shoulder pad tells us he’s repping the 3rd Company. But this isn’t just any run-of-the-mill mission—Brutus is on a critical quest to recover the gene-seed of his fallen brothers. For those who aren’t in the know, these progenoid glands are essential for creating new Space Marines, so yeah, no pressure, Brutus. He’s ready to sacrifice everything to complete his mission, because in the grimdark future, duty doesn’t end even in death.

A Familiar Face: Sa’kan of the Salamanders

Joining Brutus is Sa’kan of the Salamanders, a character who fans of the Pariah Nexus series will recognize. Now, the Ultramarines and Salamanders are both loyal defenders of the Imperium, but they don’t exactly see eye-to-eye on everything. There’s a bit of tension between them, with the Salamanders’ empathy and the Ultramarines’ strict adherence to the Codex Astartes clashing in interesting ways. But when it comes to facing off against the Necrons, they put their differences aside and get to work on some good old-fashioned xenos-killing.

What to Expect Next

You can catch Sacrifice right now on Warhammer TV, exclusive to Warhammer+ subscribers. And if this first episode is anything to go by, we’re in for a wild ride. The next episode is going to be something special too—it’s going to feature a warrior pariah of the Silent Sisterhood, which is a first for Warhammer animation. That’s definitely something to look forward to!

But if you’re craving more Warhammer content right now, you’re in luck. There’s a new Battle Report where the Ossiarch Bonereapers face off against the Nighthaunt in a 2,000-point showdown, and over on Loremasters, you can dive into the lore of the Vanguard and Sacrosanct Chambers of the Stormcast Eternals.

So, whether you’re a fan of epic battles, deep lore, or just want to see some Necrons get what’s coming to them, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into this week on Warhammer TV. Don’t miss out!
