something here for everyone. Let’s dive into the Underhells and beyond, shall we?
Necromunda: The Book of Desolation
First up, we’re heading deep into the Dust Wall with the Book of Desolation. This is a brand new expansion that’s taking us into the ruined depths of Hive Secundus, where the twisted Malstrain Genestealers lurk. If you’re like me and love getting your gang into the nastiest, most dangerous spots in Necromunda, this book is a must-have. We’re talking new rules for four different gangs – including the advanced Spyre Hunters and the terrifying Malstrain Corrupted Gangs. Plus, there’s a comprehensive multiplayer campaign and some killer new scenarios set in the Underhells. It’s not just about the new gangs, though; we’re also getting rules for custom rigs, sentry guns, and even new Dramatis Personae to spice things up.
Van Saar Tek-hunters
Next, House Van Saar is bringing out their big guns – literally – with the Van Saar Tek-hunters. This set comes with eight specialists who are all about digging up that sweet archaeotech in the Underhells. You’ve got Gunteks, Augurteks, Bioteknists, and Teknomats – all of which can be built with their special gear or standard loadouts. If you’re running a Van Saar gang, these guys are going to give you the edge you need to claim those ancient treasures.
Malstrain Genestealer Abomination Gang
Now, if you’re more into the xeno-scum side of things, you’re going to love the Malstrain Genestealer Abomination Gang. These aren’t your average Genestealers – these guys have been twisted and corrupted in ways that would make even a Goliath brute think twice. The box comes with six Malstrain Genestealers and four Malstrain Tyramites, which float around in swarms alongside their bigger, nastier cousins. And to top it off, you get an assortment of Malstrain Brood Scum heads that you can mix and match with other bodies. These guys are perfect if you want to bring some real horror to the Underhive.
Spyre Hunters: Orrus and More
House Helmawr’s nobility is getting in on the action with their high-tech Spyre Hunting Rigs. The Orrus Spyre Hunters are all about brute strength, perfect for those who like to get up close and personal. But if you’re more into speed and finesse, the Malcadon, Yeld & Jakara Spyre Hunters are where it’s at. These suits come with paired claws, grapnel launchers, monomolecular swords, and even wings for the Yeld! Plus, you can build a Spyrer Hunt Master who’s a veteran of countless hunts. If you want to bring some high-tech mayhem to the Underhive, these guys are a must.
Trazior Pattern Sentry Guns
In the lawless ruins of Hive Secundus, you’re going to need some serious firepower to keep those Malstrain Genestealers at bay. Enter the Trazior Pattern Sentry Guns. These bad boys come with twin grenade launchers or twin heavy stubbers and are perfect for setting up deadly traps for any gang foolish enough to cross your path.
Yageloth, the Master of Whispers
For those who prefer a more subtle approach, Yageloth, the Master of Whispers is the embodiment of House Delaque’s shadowy power. This guy is the ultimate assassin, able to melt into the shadows and strike with deadly precision. If you’re looking to add some serious intrigue and assassination to your games, Yageloth is your guy.
Spyre Hunting Party Gang Tactics Cards
And don’t forget the Spyre Hunting Party Gang Tactics Cards. This set of 26 cards includes 18 gang tactic cards and eight blank fighter cards, perfect for keeping your Spyre Hunters on track as they hunt down the biggest game the Underhive has to offer.
Warhammer: The Old World – Dwarfs and More
Switching gears to the Old World, we’ve got some amazing new Dwarf releases coming your way! Ogdruz Swampdigga Da Troll Calla is bringing some serious Troll magic to the battlefield, while the Dwarf King with Oathstone and the Dwarf Slayer of Legend are ready to lead their throngs into battle with pride and ferocity.
Plus, the Dwarf Miners, Dwarf Cannon & Organ Gun, and Dwarf Gyrocopters are back and better than ever, ready to bring the hammer down on anyone who dares challenge them.
The Hobbit™: Hunt for the Arkenstone
Finally, we’ve got something for Middle-earth fans – The Hobbit™: Hunt for the Arkenstone. This new co-op board game lets you join Thorin and his company as they try to return the Arkenstone to the Throne Room, all while being hunted by Azog and his minions. It’s tense, it’s action-packed, and it’s a great way to bring the world of The Hobbit™ to your tabletop.
That’s it for this week’s Sunday Preview! Whether you’re battling it out in the Underhive or the Old World, there’s something here to get excited about. So, gear up, choose your faction, and get ready to dive into the action!
