Victrix Limited has announced they are developing a game system and they need community play testers to stress test it. Let’s take a look at the announcement.
Victrix Limited has been making hard plastic, historical wargaming kits for a long while. In recent years they have fleshed out ranges from the ancient world, up through WWII. Yesterday, they announced that they are working on a ruleset, their first in-house venture of this kind, and they are calling for play testers to help them refine it.
Victrix has not hinted at a name for this new ruleset, but they have said that it will span conflicts from the Bronze Age up through Medieval ages. They also said that it will be somewhere between Saga and Hail Caesar in scale, which is… unspecific. Check out the comparison between a normal sized force for those two games below.
There is not a lot of info to go on for now, but fast-paced, competitive play as well as a narrative-based campaign system have been promised. Victrix also teased gameplay that should tickle the fancy of old school (and Old World!) players who enjoy Rank & Flank gaming. Do with that what you will!
