Warcry: The Teratic Cohort

Alright, Warcry fans, buckle up because we’ve got some intense updates from the Mortal Realms! Nagash, the big bad of Death himself, has set his sights on the Gnarlwood. He’s not a fan of anything living, changing, or evolving – basically everything that defies his iron grip. So, when he learns about a lost Seraphon temple-ship hidden within the Gnarlwood, he’s not thrilled. If its life-bringing engines are unleashed, it could mess up his plans big time.

Nagash’s Response: The Teratic Cohorts

To tackle this threat, Nagash has sent in the Teratic Cohorts. These aren’t your regular Ossiarch Bonereapers. These guys have messed up in the past, and as punishment, they’ve been transformed into monstrous forms, acting as Nagash’s outriders and guard dogs. Despite their beastly appearance, they’re still fiercely loyal, hoping to win back his favor.

Leading the Charge: Kavalos Centari

Each Teratic Cohort is led by a Kavalos Centari, a former Liege-Kavalos now punished with a centaur-like form. These leaders are desperate to prove themselves, using their military acumen to coordinate the defense.

Unleashed Rage: This ability lets any warrior in the warband double up on critical hits, making them devastating in combat. A smart commander can use wild dice to score extra criticals.

Eyes of Katakros: This [Double] ability, usable once per battle round, generates more wild dice, essential for the Teratic Cohorts to maintain their edge. These outcasts are constantly monitored by Mortisans through the eyes embedded in their skulls.

The Cohort’s Forces

Aviarch Harpies and Teratic Prowlers: The main body of the Cohort consists of Aviarch Harpies, created from failed Morteks, and skeletal hounds known as Teratic Prowlers. These Prowlers are Mortek soldiers deemed defective, reforged into relentless hunters.

Predatory Ravage: These beast-bone warriors are tough to put down. When attacked, they instinctively lash out in a flurry of attacks, making them deadly adversaries.
