Alright fellow Warhammer enthusiasts, gather round! If you’re following the epic clash for the fortress-city of Hel Crown, the latest battle report is in and it’s a doozy.
The Thunderous Battle for Hel Crown
Imagine this: the skies are lit up with the fury of battle as the Stormcast Eternals and Skaven go head-to-head in a bloody contest for control. After conceding the Scabs and the Glided Districts to the Skaven, our brave warriors of Sigmar are fighting a desperate rearguard action. And the struggle for Gheistclay outside the walls? It’s intense.
Hel Crown Week 2 Update:
- Skaven Dominate: The Warlocks are in full chittering glee as they ransack the industrial Sabre District. They’re scavenging all the machinery they can find to breach the walls of the Great Caldera and capture the realmgate within.
- Assassins on the Prowl: In the Splint, Skaven assassins are like shadows, silently taking out defenders in the Acadamae Martial. They’ve stolen city diagrams and powerful relics, set off a chain of warpstone bombs, and let the Verminus clan-warriors flood in to overwhelm the defenders.
Outside the City: A Close Call
Gheistclay Battle:
- Fierce Assault: The forces of Chaos launched a brutal assault, but the Order forces held their ground on Mount Talari. They’ve pushed back the seething horde, but it came at a great cost.
- Narrow Victory: The Stormcast Eternals have carved out a narrow victory. The battlefield is littered with corpses, remnants of the Khornate tribes recently driven out by the Dawnbringers. Amidst a lull in the fighting, they dismantle an unholy pile of bodies, chanting a dirge to lay the spirits to rest. There’s a brief moment of peace, but ominous fires still rage on the horizon.
Not all hope is lost! You have until August 5th to play your games and log your results. Every battle counts and can help decide the fate of Hel Crown, the Galvian Atoll, and potentially the entire Great Parch.
Here’s the kicker: the winners of the battle within the walls will get their 2024 releases revealed at a special preview on Saturday, August 10th. So even if your faction is defeated, you’re in for a treat with some incredible new miniatures on the horizon.
