Universal Carriers Roll Out From Victrix

Victrix has begun shipping out their 12mm Universal Carriers and released a bunch more pics and info abou them. Let’s check it out!

Back in May Victrix Limited previewed a plastic Universal Carrier kit for their 12mm WW2 range, and it’s finally here! This kit comes LOADED with options for multiple theaters, so let’s get right into it. This kit will build six 1:144th / 12mm scale Universal Carriers for British forces in WW2. Victrix has been kind enough to paint up loads of examples as both Desert and European variants.

These carriers were truly universal, serving as squad transports or mobile weapons platforms. Here is the list of the possible loadouts for each carrier in this kit:

  • Standard Universal Carrier
  • Flamethrower (Both British and Canadian versions)
  • Mortar
  • 50 Cal (Both front and rear mounted)
  • Piat
  • Antitank Rifle
  • Vickers
  • Forward Observation Officer variant

And here are the various crew options for all these loadouts:

  • Firing 50 Cal
  • Drivers
  • Co Drivers
  • Firing Vickers
  • Firing Piat
  • Firing Antitank rifle
  • Mortar loader
  • Mortar operator
  • Radio operators
  • Forward Observation officers
  • Bren Gunners
  • Rifle crew sitting in the back of the carriers

Truly a spectacular amount of options! Do you have any projects that could use a fleet of carriers? Think you’ll be picking these up soon? Sound off in the comments!
