Next Set of Black Library Titles Announced

Hey, fellow Warhammer 40K fans! We’ve got some juicy new reads coming our way from the Black Library, and let me tell you, they sound absolutely epic. Three new Warhammer 40K stories are dropping later this year, and they’re packed with action, intrigue, and the grimdark goodness we all crave.

Flight Commander Lucille von Shard is Back!

First up, we’ve got the return of the legendary Flight Commander Lucille von Shard, the Hero of Bacchus and star of Outgunned. Remember her? Well, Denny Flowers is back with a new tale called Above and Beyond, and it’s going to blow our minds.

Our old buddy, the propagandist Kile Simlex, gets a mysterious message and is swept away to join Lucille on her crusade. But here’s the kicker: Lucille isn’t the same ace pilot we remember. War has taken its toll, and her reputation is in shambles. Now, she’s got to face off against a seemingly unbeatable xenos mercenary. Talk about high stakes!

Sandy Mitchell’s Take

Sandy Mitchell, the mastermind behind the Ciaphas Cain novels, gave Above and Beyond a glowing review. He’s hyped about the gripping narrative, compelling characters, and all the fast-paced, explosive action. He even compared Lucille and Simlex to the iconic duo Gotrek and Felix. That’s some high praise, and I can’t wait to see their next adventure unfold.

Dominion Genesis – A Tale of Hope and Heresy

Next, we’ve got Dominion Genesis by Jonathan D Beer. This one’s set on the forge world of Gryphonne IV, which has been decimated by Hive Fleet Leviathan. Only a few Magi survived, and they’re clinging to hope. Explorator Talin Sherax refuses to give up and sets off on a dangerous quest to find a relic that could restore their world.

Talin’s journey is fraught with danger and the lure of heresy. It’s a classic tale of the Adeptus Mechanicus, filled with epic quests and high stakes. I’m eager to see if she can turn back time and save her people.

Oaths of Damnation – Exorcists and Daemonic Possession

Last but definitely not least, Oaths of Damnation by Robbie MacNiven focuses on the Exorcists Chapter. These guys are hardcore, willingly accepting daemonic possession to fight Chaos. After they’re purged, they’re immune to corruption. But those who fail the process become the Broken Ones, hidden away from the Imperium.

When a Broken One escapes due to a daemonic conspiracy, it’s up to Daggan Zaidu and his Hexbreakers to hunt it down. But there’s a deep, dark connection between the escapee and Daggan that’s going to shake things up. This story promises intense action and a thrilling hunt that will keep us on the edge of our seats.

All three novels are set to release this year, so keep your eyes peeled for more news and release dates on Warhammer Community. These stories are going to be packed with the rich lore, intense action, and unforgettable characters that make the Warhammer 40K universe so addictive.
